Filter centrifuges from Ursa-Chemie GmbH
Extremely versatile and particularly suitable for high solids content
Large-capacity filter centrifuges are used for larger quantities of solids. Centrifuges – which have been in use at Ursa-Chemie since 1970 – achieve what gravity does naturally many times faster and more effectively.
The filter surface is enlarged by inserting a filter bag. The solids are discharged manually using a crane. Not only can suspensions be separated efficiently in this way, but parts can also be centrifuged dry.
We can use the centrifuge to filter, wash, dry and rinse. To this end, customised inserts are developed and supplied to meet specific customer requirements.
The filter centrifuge is available in both explosion-proof and non-explosion-proof versions.

Pastillation plant of Ursa-Chemie GmbH
Efficient pastillation: Transformation of liquid into pastilles
This process enables the seamless transformation of liquid products into the coveted pastille form – and in a way that not only optimises our production processes, but also guarantees consistently high product quality.
What is pastillation?
Pastillation is a process that is particularly suitable for converting molten products into pastilles. The highlight here is that this process takes place on a specially developed cooling belt system that has proven to be extremely efficient and versatile.
The process of pastillation
As the cooling belt is sprayed with cooling water from below, the droplets cool down until they are completely solidified. This is where the pastillage unit comes in. It divides the incoming liquid product into individual drops, which are then deposited on a stainless steel cooling belt. The cooling belt is sprayed with cooling water from below. This cools the drops until they are completely solidified. As a result, the pastilles obtained are not only almost identical in size, but are also round and dust-free.
Wide range of applications
The pastillation systems offer a wide range of possibilities. Products in the viscosity range of 0 – 30,000 mPas (cP) can be pastillised without any problems, whereby the sizes of the pastilles can vary from 1 to 25 mm. The performance of these systems is impressive, ranging from 400 to 800 kg per hour. The actual output depends on factors such as the initial temperature of the liquid and when the solidification point is reached.
