HOLISTIC.

Your projects are in good hands with us, for the long term too, because we think ahead for you. You focus on your core business, while we take care of the holistic management of your projects – from raw material procurement to the manufacture, filling and delivery of chemical products.

From enquiry and procurement of chemical raw materials to delivery

Ursa-Chemie is a full-service contract manufacturer for the chemical industry in Germany and beyond. We not only produce your chemical product exactly according to your specifications using a finished formula. Our employees also take care of the procurement of chemical raw materials, manufacturing, filling and, if necessary, the optimisation of your processes and organise safe dispatching to your customers. With our flexible and modular range of services for the chemical industry, we can meet any demand and thus create added value for your company.

Order production process

Initialisation

Starting with an initial assessment and a feasibility analysis with laboratory tests, we put together a service package tailored to your individual needs to ensure that we can fulfil your order to your complete satisfaction. You concentrate on your core business, we take care of the rest.

Feasibility study

There are numerous steps from the initial contact and procurement of raw materials for chemical manufacture to the delivery of the products, which we coordinate closely with you. Once you have provided us with all your product-specific data, such as the chemical recipe, manufacturing instructions, packaging information, safety data sheets and quality parameters for the product, we will check the feasibility of your project. We will reproduce your requirements free of charge in laboratory tests and transfer them to our chemical production processes. We also keep an eye on aspects such as resource efficiency, the use of secondary chemical raw materials and the best possible utilisation of existing systems.

Definition

Once we have established the starting point together with you, we define the framework conditions at an early stage, such as quantity, containers, labelling and, of course, the desired services. In the next step, we examine the chemical and technical conditions, and discuss the results of our laboratory tests and the aspects that are relevant to the process with you.

Commissioning

Once the laboratory tests have been successfully completed, we provide you with a quotation. On request, we can carry out a test production together with you. When placing the order, we coordinate the production date, availability and, if chemical raw materials are provided, the delivery of the chemical raw materials with you. As soon as chemical raw material availability is assured, you will receive an order confirmation from us. We will then arrange a date for delivery by a freight company or collection in consultation with you.

Optimisation

The upstream exchange of information and the comparison of specific circumstances and parameters enables us to understand your company’s internal processes and products down to the smallest detail in order to identify possible challenges and recognise potential effects on other areas at an early stage. For example, we can further increase resource efficiency in production through innovative approaches.

Equipped for any challenge

We serve a various industries: From pharmaceuticals and cosmetics to automotive and construction industries, from systemically-relevant products to luxury goods.

We manufacture chemical products of any consistency: From powders, pastilles and granulates to highly viscous chemical substances and liquids. We use different processes and technologies depending on the area of application, properties and intended use.

We optimise processes: From simple chemical mixtures and complex chemical reactions (e.g. syntheses or polymer chains) to distillations and separations by centrifuge or vacuum mixing dryers to fully and semi-automatic decanting. We also take into account the availability, types and sources of chemical raw materials.

We take care of the logistics: From small-scale filling with an appropriate volume quota to high-volume tanker filling and tank storage to domestic and international deliveries. In addition, our services include the proper storage of hazardous chemical substances, packaging materials and finished products.

Success stories from the chemical industry

Our customers from across the chemical industry benefit not only from our high-quality and versatile contract manufacturing per se, but also demonstrably from our solution-driven and optimised processes.

The quality of the company’s in-house chemical production or previous external production was less than satisfactory.

The solution: Ursa-Chemie took over chemical manufacturing and to this day ensures the desired and, above all, consistently high quality.

The lack of security of complete in-house chemical manufacturing led to a single point of failure.

The solution: Ursa-Chemie acts as a backup supplier for part of the total volume. As we act independently of the company’s internal structures, we are better able to compensate for theoretical deficits.

The company’s own facilities were severely damaged by storms and could not be used.

The solution: Ursa-Chemie temporarily took over chemical production while the company’s own facilities were being rebuilt. This meant it was possible to avoid business disruption and the associated losses.

The previous contract chemical manufacturer cancelled the contract and ceased operations.

The solution: Ursa-Chemie took over the contract chemical manufacturing of the entire product range at short notice and facilitated a rapid product transfer thanks to its expertise not only from the chemical industry, but from other various industries such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, automotive and construction.

Discretion is top priority in the chemical industry

Whether in the manufacture of your chemical products, the streamlining of your production processes or other services in our full-service package – ensuring discretion in chemical contract manufacturing is our top priority. After all, you entrust us with your secret recipes, and we definitely do not want them to fall into the wrong hands.

We not only commit to confidentiality when the order is placed, but also sign a corresponding agreement with you as soon as you send us your first enquiry. And if necessary, we even take it down to project level. This gives you the peace of mind from the outset that your data and information are safe with us and that none of it will be leaked – not even the name of your company.

Once the confidentiality agreement has been signed, we coordinate the chemical manufacturing process precisely with you in order to adapt it to our systems. It goes without saying that we adhere strictly to your specifications. In the course of further process optimisation, we draw exclusively on knowledge and experience across all sectors, both in the chemical industry and beyond, without exchanging any information about our customers’ products and manufacturing processes, even with our parent and sister companies. Our operational business is completely self-sufficient and is characterised, among other things, by separate IT structures and data connections.

Speaking of data: Ensuring the highest IT standards for data protection and data security is just as important to us as strict access controls to the company premises, the buildings and the individual departments at all our locations in northern Rhineland-Palatinate.

In addition, our employees appreciate our prudent approach to work, with most of them having been with us for a long time – some even for several decades. This means that your valuable information remains within the company and you do not have to fear any know-how leaks due to employee turnover.

This is CHEMISTRY. EFFICIENT. HOLISTIC.. Secure.

Filter centrifuges for complex requirements

One of the increasingly complex requirements in the chemical industry is the processing of large quantities of solids. In such cases, we rely on our large-volume filter centrifuges, which are characterised not only by various technical advantages but also by their high versatility and adaptability. Whether filtering, washing, drying or rinsing – what gravity does by itself, our centrifuges have been doing many times faster and more effectively since 1970.

Depending on the quantity of solids, the filter surface is enlarged by inserting a filter bag, while the solids are discharged manually by means of a crane. In addition to these general options, we also develop customised inserts to meet individual customer requirements and, for example, allow suspensions to be separated efficiently and certain parts to be centrifuged dry.

Pastillation systems: The solidification of liquid chemicals

Our pastillation system enables the seamless transformation of liquids into solids: By dripping the liquid onto a cooling belt, a hemisphere, known as a pastille, is formed on the drop of liquid.

What is pastillation?

Pastillating is a particularly suitable process for converting molten products into pastilles. We have developed an extremely efficient and versatile cooling belt system specifically for this process.

How does the pastillation process work?

As the cooling belt is sprayed with cooling water from below, the droplets cool down until they are completely solidified. The pastilles are characterised in particular by their narrow size distribution. Pastilles have the advantage of being dust-free when added during further processing.

What are the possible applications?

Our pastillation system offers a wide range of possibilities for products with a viscosity of up to 30,000 mPas (cP), whereby the sizes of the pastilles can vary between 1 and 25 mm. Depending on the chemical properties, the initial temperature of the liquid and when the solidification point is reached, 400 to 800 kg can be processed per hour.
